Cheating for HoM items - Guild Wars Forums

OK so I did the math and realized that a person could simply buy enough ectos or z keys or whatever from some cheating gold selling company and get 30 points without 1 single title or any real work at all. So my question is this, what about people that suddenly get every thing they need in a couple days of cheating, any plans on bringing the pain to these cheaters? Even people with old accounts that "BAM" have it all?

well tbh. there is no true way to find out of some one bought the ectos, they could have just farmed kept there money and have a storage panel of ectos.

First off why should I care, there will be no significant advantage in GW2 its more of a status thing. If they want to take the risk of being banned so they can say "look at me" then so be it.

As for you idea about people greatly improving their points very fast there is no way to know. Take my account for example

I went from ~23 points to 45 points in less then an hour. I never bothered to do the whole statue thing in the HoM so when I put my heroes, titles, and minis in there I jumped up to almost complete. I will have 50 by the end of today as I only need to buy 2 sets of armor and trade a couple of my armbraces and medals of honor for weapons

People have bought gold from RMTs before the HoM update, and may continue to do so after.

As always, if caught, they will be banned.

I'm going to close this thread as there is no real point to it.

- Players can't prove 1 way or another if another player "cheated" to get HoM statues.
- If you suspect a player cheated, report them to Anet
- Buying gold via online gold sellers is against the EULA & TOS, and you can get your account suspended if/when your caught.
- As shown by above poster, legitimate players can and will go from low scores up to 30-50/50 in no time flat. There are a lot of players who have got lots of mini's, elite armor's, etc and never added them to the Hall of Monuments.
- Just because someone suddenly gets a huge increase in points/statues doesn't mean they cheated.
